DOS PELI'S

DOS PELI'S, originally uploaded by gogoloopie.
One of my favorite shots . . . I was luck to catch such a close shot that came out clearly - especially since they caught me off guard (as these birds usually do)!

I.really.do.hate.feet.

I honestly have a (one of many) weird quirk about feet.  They creep me out, especially guys' feet.  But any foot is bothersome if it gets too close to my space.  However, I always find myself taking pictures of feet.  Mostly my feet, (because they are always around) but the feet of others' as well.  Children's feet don't bother me . . . though I can't say at what age the feet become an aversion.  Yuck.  Feet.  That's kind of what I think.  It's not a phobia, just a minor oddity that I don't worry much about, since I have so many more that are more pressing.  Why am I blogging this?  Well, I realized how disproportionately high the feet (and hands)-to-other-photos ratio was and decided if I felt the need to take THAT many pictures of hands and feet. . . I should at least share them!

These photos have instilled in me a sense of awe that only two or three photographers/artists have done to me in the short time I've been involved with flickr and these other photo sites. He is top notch. One of the best on the globe, I have NO doubt!

Mellow Yellow FlutterFly.

Mellow Yellow FlutterFly., originally uploaded by gogoloopie.

I've been browsing through my flickr stuff (for way too long now....), and this old photograph is my favorite I've come across today. It'll probably change tomorrow , but I love the feel and the title and the gap of space. It's hard to say because I'm not sure myself... I just like it!

Life in Full (Hipstamatic Contest Entry)

I believe this is the most diverse, interesting, and majestic road along the entire pacific coast of CA, and that says a lot! I never grow tired of this street or the journey. For those athletically inclined, Bottcher's Gap is where the road ends about 5-7 miles(?) up. The hikes are moderate difficulty, some are more challenging, so go prepared! It's worth it, though (even if I'm so enamored by the homes and creeks and trees and oddities along the way, I've only made it to the top for a hike one time)!

Goofing Off Again! (Hipstamatic Contest Entry)

Yes, it seems a bit odd. But if anyone has spent 90 seconds or more glancing through this blog, you must surely find that I'm a bit odd in general . . . I had fun though! Dancing shadows!

West Underwater

I stumbled across this photographer when I first joined Flickr and have yet to see another with this level of brilliance. Her photography is absolutely mesmerizing! Evidently, Geddys felt the same way, as she has been awarded at least once... I felt that this artist was most definitely worth a mention. ;)
