i ran as far as i could and ended up on the pacific coast. i can only run for so long, since LIFE has this irritating way of continuing on its linear (circular?) course regardless of my discontent. damn.

Too Hot!

I've slept most of the last two days, hoping for a little spark of ambition to get started on my life (again) in Texas.... So far, the spark has NOT come....

Abandon

Abandon, originally uploaded by gogoloopie.

A happy favorite of mine... And my favorite place to shoot at night!

I'd like to be more approachable (not crazy), and stuff . . .

How to Thwart an Abduction Attempt - wikiHow

I was looking for amusing "how-to's," but this one is actually really good! A lot of things I've never thought of, and I've been trained by my previous employer. Interesting!

Jurisdiction?

A big Texas welcome! Note the rainbow smiling at me through my lens....!

Soooo...... If one foot is in Texas and the other is in Oklahoma... who has jurisdiction?

Lovely puffy white bunny clouds.

Some of my friends on facebook think it's weird that I subscribe to these daily meditations, considering I'm not Jewish (I don't even believe in God...), and the author is a rabbi.
However,  i almost always get something meaningful from his few short sentences everyday.
They almost always apply in my daily life and his writing style is very poetic, which I love.
SO....  I keep reading them!  Every now and then I'll post one on  facebook or my blogspot.... And now, Tumblr!
This one reminds me of, "the secret," which basically states that we make manifest in our lives whatever may be our intention.  if I  intend to be joyful, joy will find me...!

Matching Worlds
By Tzvi Freeman

Depression, anxiety and pessimism damage the channels of blessing from Above.

The Zohar explains that there is a lower world -- our world -- and there is a higher world. Our world is meant to continuously receive from that higher world, but always according to our personal state of mind.

If we are glowing with joy and vitality, then that world shines upon us in its full glory.

But if it we wallow in depression and anxiety, then we can only receive the metered trickle that squeezes through a constricted channel.

That is why King David said,
“Serve G-d with joy!” Because your joy here draws upon you another joy from above.

This might be my favorite shot. I love the water, and the action here with the gorgeous sunset was a great bonus!

Thirst (Hipstamatic Contest Entry)

95% of the time, photography lifts my mood if I'm feeling sad or lonely. There is a LOT of time to be sad and lonely when you don't even have cell phone coverage for about 500 or 700 miles or so! I thought the death valley stretch was desolate, but there was NOTHING on this route, from Yosemite to Grand Junction, CO! I can always count on photography to lift my spirits when flying solo. :)

Tragic Fashion (Hipstamatic Contest Entry)

I must say . . . it still looks as tragic now as it did then... but I was never one to care. Unless I happened to care.
