Weeping for keeps

I've always known I was a little bit mad... I figured the best I could do with that unfortunate insight was to channel it into a creative outlet and perhaps even make an impression. Sadly, I have not yet found myself quite where I wanted to be years before now. You know, Plath, Van Gogh, Frost, Rothko, Homer.... We humans can be incredibly arrogant despite some of our self loathing and self deprecating thoughts and behaviors! Alas, no Pulitzer, no elitist interviews, nothing like that. Just inconsistently mediocre art, words, photography, and an occasional breakdown for good measure.

“As a leader... I have always endeavored to listen to what each and every person in a discussion had to say before venturing my own opinion. Oftentimes, my own opinion will simply represent a con-sensus of what I heard in the discussion. I always remember the axiom: a leader is like a shepherd. He stays behind the flock, letting the most nimble go out ahead, whereupon the others follow, not realizing that all along they are being directed from behind.”
